Distribuzione originaria di Oncorhynchus kisutch  secondo Fishbase

 

 

Specie diffusa in tutto il nord Pacifico: dal fiume Anadyr in Russia a sud fino ad Hokkaido in Giappone; da Point Hope, nell'Alaska del sud fino alla Baia di Chamalu in California, Messico. Introdotta, con acclimatazione, in Europa ed in America meridionale. Negli anni 1960 - 1969 è stata tentata l'acclimatazione dagli USA in Italia, con l'immissione di esemplari nel Lago di Garda, i tentativi non hanno avuto esito positivo.
